Trinasolar has signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), reaffirming its commitment to advancing global gender equality and empowering women.</p>

Trinasolar has announced that its industrial larger-area <em>n</em>-type total passivation (TOPAS) solar cell, based on heterojunction (HJT or SHJ), has achieved 27.08% efficiency, setting a new record for front and back contact solar cells. This was confirmed by the Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hamelin, Germany. This is the first time that a crystalline silicon solar cell with front and back contact structure has achieved front-side efficiency above 27%.</p>
